My Hero, My Mentor, My Dad |
May 26, 2016 |
I remember my Dad starting doing so much for our family. We had Wings on Mondays, McDonald's on Wednesdays, and Pizza on Fridays. He was the first man I ever looked up to. My Dad always expressed his love for me without actually saying it until his final days. He went to be with the Lord after that. Im just so grateful that our final exchanges were exchanges of love and respect for one another. I love this man more any other besides my brothers Michael and Horten. Our family will keep your legacy going, and all I want to do is make you smile from Heaven. I love you now and always old man! I'll see you later "Old Man, Texas"!
When I reflect on papa Dee so many images comes to mind. He would never missed a beat of calling to checking up and pray with me every week. No matter what the situation was in my life, Papa Dee always share encouraging words and give fatherly advice that would always make my grey skies turn blue. If I could turn back time and once again hear your voice, I'd tell you that out of all the dad's you would still be my choice. Sleep on my "I love you more than oxygen dad".
